Harper’s On Main

Hudson River Valley
New York

Nothing Something’s interior design & branding mixes authentic Brooklyn warmth with an earthy, American Hudson river elegance. Branding moments throughout the interior reference the restaurant’s namesake, Rose Harper. Rose was a famously aggressive businesswoman who invented what we know today as Direct Mail Advertising. Much like Don Draper, Rose notoriously drank Scotch whiskey throughout her workday. Harper's interior program uses tables with inlayed vintage Scotch whiskey crate panels, custom made light fixtures from U.S. Postal Service conveyor belts, early 20th century wood bricks, a blackened & waxed poured concrete bar, hand-dyed floors, and bathrooms wallpapered in advertisements from Mrs. Harper’s era.
